Pretty much what I got from the previews was a bunch of young people who skateboarded and did drugs and talked crap about how the government was bringing them down or something, and overall the whole feel of the preview to me was pretty sparse and bleak. And so, my piece is sparse and bleak, which pretty much expresses my feelings about the film to a T.Grosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15126717766959087303noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1550884246131617636.post-1826007839912001662011-12-13T01:26:00.000-08:002011-12-13T01:35:57.741-08:00Bionic<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuGtYgcFDL0q0Yil9Tn5PPjOHmtD7d_G808wCPpsELBAxnNYJj4XYmfRCVQUNOSI38lb46tD1GVkwJ3X67SfjZcs6dqzw4zmkEbAm3LeWdYGZyHm45x1t0C0YltZ8asd2-NBhCcq0FxGI/s1600/DSC_1679_21.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 248px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuGtYgcFDL0q0Yil9Tn5PPjOHmtD7d_G808wCPpsELBAxnNYJj4XYmfRCVQUNOSI38lb46tD1GVkwJ3X67SfjZcs6dqzw4zmkEbAm3LeWdYGZyHm45x1t0C0YltZ8asd2-NBhCcq0FxGI/s320/DSC_1679_21.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685543887985459874" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRW-oxml-dbxx56iIPXQYun-3Mbir6F5lPJor7Q7p_CaRkcp1yDXeoYFbwhkdK23yGWQS-AXe_nS60yZfkxoDtm6ImZSPXoONnIElOOMOZzhtzN4rQ0s23MzYhg4GVRErI8RUuC4mLpH8/s1600/DSC_1654_2.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRW-oxml-dbxx56iIPXQYun-3Mbir6F5lPJor7Q7p_CaRkcp1yDXeoYFbwhkdK23yGWQS-AXe_nS60yZfkxoDtm6ImZSPXoONnIElOOMOZzhtzN4rQ0s23MzYhg4GVRErI8RUuC4mLpH8/s320/DSC_1654_2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685543830466089298" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkPbLVJLCHx9yXy9leWD0FFp7qqru-1Ttw6m2jL44jm4tEkxFLgrHcctqoyou0EySIyQUpS9uwEALBbF2WfeoT_TEKU0WpCg4y_6bjgWEufOVZeJ6JlREuQX6t1_Nrs2OpKQglHFzEsxI/s1600/DSC_1661.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 287px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkPbLVJLCHx9yXy9leWD0FFp7qqru-1Ttw6m2jL44jm4tEkxFLgrHcctqoyou0EySIyQUpS9uwEALBbF2WfeoT_TEKU0WpCg4y_6bjgWEufOVZeJ6JlREuQX6t1_Nrs2OpKQglHFzEsxI/s320/DSC_1661.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685543765691008338" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqTD214CBOFUiSsjwX1L1WXP3RoIOFRUXJpQGbKoYV56nkZdCGnc-Hddi46EMuLRVGoY44vrrI9IoOfEaqo5t81ZFwv1Ycg0NXdqhLTUVT2piZaynL4zCDENPO9uJizEDc-rdZMvafles/s1600/DSC_1642.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 232px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqTD214CBOFUiSsjwX1L1WXP3RoIOFRUXJpQGbKoYV56nkZdCGnc-Hddi46EMuLRVGoY44vrrI9IoOfEaqo5t81ZFwv1Ycg0NXdqhLTUVT2piZaynL4zCDENPO9uJizEDc-rdZMvafles/s320/DSC_1642.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685543672966306050" border="0" /></a><br />My senior thesis that I am working on is designing, making, and creating packaging/promotional work for a line of stuffed animals, the theme of which is "Bionic Body Parts." So in other words, I'm making robot organs! They are made out of different kinds of vinyl and pleather, with the features embroidered on. The ears stick together with magnets which I think are the most fun thing ever, so in future organs you'll be seeing a lot of that! These are the four I've documented. Since I'm on the internet all the time I read a lot of articles and lists about interesting things, and one that I came across was online dating. No, not match.com, but something a tad more interesting. I can't really vouch for the legitimacy of any of these websites but I can for sure say it is funny as hell that they even exist. I give you: strange online dating. I picked some of the ones I found most amusing and made some stuffed thingies, which I then turned into sort of ads or posters.Grosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15126717766959087303noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1550884246131617636.post-62848856233770030992011-07-04T08:50:00.000-07:002011-07-04T08:57:34.025-07:00Hand-Lettering FinalThis is my final project for my Hand-lettering course- we could do basically whatever we wanted (preferably something involving a brand) as long as we did the text by hand. I had absolutely no idea what to do since the assignment was incredibly vague so I spent a good deal of the semester flailing around, mentally, until my time was dwindling to the last months and I settled on Forever 21, the store where I spend all of my money. I designed some tags for their different clothing lines and a new bag design. It doesn't seem like much work for one semester...we only had 3 minor assignments, but I guess in Germany that's how they roll.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6ORIdJ5W0TXBkkSB2yKndTGvHw1D6-ivD3LkKSoabDKBcGkZDJh776yF_dX1iGs2evwO4VT2FwoDJuuK_Bfi1U_OEcGl0-MLo0YLeIMy1HetFjgnSp9P9vKM7geJGto6e-bgAJV-pKFA/s1600/tags21.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 174px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6ORIdJ5W0TXBkkSB2yKndTGvHw1D6-ivD3LkKSoabDKBcGkZDJh776yF_dX1iGs2evwO4VT2FwoDJuuK_Bfi1U_OEcGl0-MLo0YLeIMy1HetFjgnSp9P9vKM7geJGto6e-bgAJV-pKFA/s320/tags21.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625526515602789426" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw8nFEThwAdGmla1ktsX5zZf_icQPAbV-X1qKWA6yF6g4yNFvBJK2Q6e2F5DBZ1WEXr3Dge8igeOfIomjGMYr0oDUqG1o-lvI5_zMO9c_Fw89twQhHRXHCLyCPyN0rWHmZbMd-ir-Qg4U/s1600/21bag.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 227px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw8nFEThwAdGmla1ktsX5zZf_icQPAbV-X1qKWA6yF6g4yNFvBJK2Q6e2F5DBZ1WEXr3Dge8igeOfIomjGMYr0oDUqG1o-lvI5_zMO9c_Fw89twQhHRXHCLyCPyN0rWHmZbMd-ir-Qg4U/s320/21bag.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625526623693594114" border="0" /></a>Grosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15126717766959087303noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1550884246131617636.post-72211020179292082122011-04-12T15:00:00.001-07:002011-04-12T15:05:45.867-07:00"Er"<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0lKo9evSl4NibL9hTU8uXKUzhSJ_SuGGDfW8AIurfUr1Xzl1FsI4YLsYuR6nN3F6lIZUBjiShRY5ZWkHRvZrInCqQ0dG79ohDdRkd_tNEKtOdiVDV1jyehefHhJ06Dj65RgmPUkvDA1Q/s1600/claw.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 210px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0lKo9evSl4NibL9hTU8uXKUzhSJ_SuGGDfW8AIurfUr1Xzl1FsI4YLsYuR6nN3F6lIZUBjiShRY5ZWkHRvZrInCqQ0dG79ohDdRkd_tNEKtOdiVDV1jyehefHhJ06Dj65RgmPUkvDA1Q/s320/claw.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594821616492973010" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc06HBPzIQOGShQEEO_1vhUxMjWgopeyIDwmB1agoUadly0Eo76ka9dJ-zmqCcXqfpZ3GwbWn9CbCy9hkaTCrtJCQnHwdYrHJxQ-08EMd4XIOCWjU8KXq9Xy_XZ1IHjo8eaMVTKDR_fUE/s1600/kafka3.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 210px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc06HBPzIQOGShQEEO_1vhUxMjWgopeyIDwmB1agoUadly0Eo76ka9dJ-zmqCcXqfpZ3GwbWn9CbCy9hkaTCrtJCQnHwdYrHJxQ-08EMd4XIOCWjU8KXq9Xy_XZ1IHjo8eaMVTKDR_fUE/s320/kafka3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594821495805901970" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwNOdkv6x_sWhygCqdrshzf-kXJ3tygq0fKMYVZd6HKGVAWl1AYQqAGgZ2-9_ZamGKJdMSFHK6ClbY03yeZHhwtGyLUruxzX15OyLNocGnNCTI3pfeYQiqGBk2gs4btKjycZiYP3tbWBQ/s1600/scratch.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwNOdkv6x_sWhygCqdrshzf-kXJ3tygq0fKMYVZd6HKGVAWl1AYQqAGgZ2-9_ZamGKJdMSFHK6ClbY03yeZHhwtGyLUruxzX15OyLNocGnNCTI3pfeYQiqGBk2gs4btKjycZiYP3tbWBQ/s320/scratch.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594821329396336242" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCJin70Fy-qAlsfBGfHabGss0oyN6RPkaj3HmWa-l7L5SIKu1PkGIwIA5txDLE2DojOG5KMR4JkiB7ktmedMGYhJLmlpJ26vH0WRGkgqBTQHFbs0TDwcB09J4uSxNHNaYvWCIxgj0a_1w/s1600/reciepter.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 210px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCJin70Fy-qAlsfBGfHabGss0oyN6RPkaj3HmWa-l7L5SIKu1PkGIwIA5txDLE2DojOG5KMR4JkiB7ktmedMGYhJLmlpJ26vH0WRGkgqBTQHFbs0TDwcB09J4uSxNHNaYvWCIxgj0a_1w/s320/reciepter.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594821233923709650" /></a><br />For my first German blog post: ER. The modern, industrial equivalent is pleating the fabric then sewing elastic onto the pleats. <br />For my final assignment I decided to take smocking, which historically was used on clothing, and use it to sculpt a form, rather than letting the smocking conform to a body. I used linen (the fabric of choice for a serf's smock) and created a giraffe.Grosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15126717766959087303noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1550884246131617636.post-77176022477039307632011-02-01T13:01:00.000-08:002011-02-01T13:04:43.644-08:00Another Portrait<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj-6eQsktwJ8EouW5fScK9LwmdwGoFV9JHRpykb2VnkP3tuRXqcZ8Vi6QF3qArOJ8_08vntVUNsLIGJPE3QtX2NBjFxFXedvuL6TWmj-nfVK5v0rXeoe2qq3i8usZDuojywos0gXDCU2U/s1600/baconmom.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 259px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj-6eQsktwJ8EouW5fScK9LwmdwGoFV9JHRpykb2VnkP3tuRXqcZ8Vi6QF3qArOJ8_08vntVUNsLIGJPE3QtX2NBjFxFXedvuL6TWmj-nfVK5v0rXeoe2qq3i8usZDuojywos0gXDCU2U/s320/baconmom.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568829344391715746" /></a><br />In case you were wondering what my mom looked like in the 90's when she still had that perm, this is it! <br />This was a piece based off the idea of the traditional Victorian Sampler for Explored Stitch, and since we had learned so many different stitches I was thinking that they were a lot like an alphabet and made a code. I chose the album 'Songs for the Deaf' by Queens of the Stone Age, mostly because I found the original cover really boring and only reflective of the song "Go With the Flow," which I think is kind of an outlier in their music. <br /><br />For this album QOTSA had DJs create fake radio noise to simulate the drive to Joshua Tree, and it's included in the beginning and ends of a lot of songs, hence the radio. And frankly I find their music creepy and a bit sinister, so mosquitoes seemed like appropriate imagery. And I realized this after, but they chose their name to be the "Queens" rather than the "Kings" because king would have been to macho- and their music is rock for men and women. The embroidery portraits are from my Intro to Fibers class last fall- the articles of clothing (a t-shirt and a cummerbund, in case you couldn't tell) belonged to each of the subjects. The t-shirt one is of my dad (he was and is so 70s) and the cummerbund is of my late "Grampa" Rose.<br /><br />The rainbow one from a set of three illustrations from my Illustration II class. We had to have an image illustrating a certain idea and each image had to include a dog, a broom, and a radio tower. This one is "harmony" cause don't they all look so sickeningly happy? I sure wish I were that happy! This was the only embroidered one of the set because embroidery takes "sew" long.Grosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15126717766959087303noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1550884246131617636.post-30567463207360394302010-05-07T23:44:00.000-07:002010-05-08T00:08:28.888-07:00The Great Finals Posting<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMzS3YIvpEaXdrEPr2PEzUSx4JUvoK8LCw1CG9CjRhlMkBjQA9wEsaUPLjyCFMxgmq3NDCywnBDzJhp7NF71-FgR-nxmRtbpRQYUV4xb5mbrGtvzgxnmOcccFX3C8Iw45gGTZeFJ84zTc/s1600/stripes.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 246px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMzS3YIvpEaXdrEPr2PEzUSx4JUvoK8LCw1CG9CjRhlMkBjQA9wEsaUPLjyCFMxgmq3NDCywnBDzJhp7NF71-FgR-nxmRtbpRQYUV4xb5mbrGtvzgxnmOcccFX3C8Iw45gGTZeFJ84zTc/s320/stripes.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468787917418261986" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWKYxyOv-85enY2lAM4eHmnmSZZtGtej6BNtWT77qEQbCvm1t_DWXnDnwTvT1EppyXKJjxXLeOPfw8GX9Lk689lqfAFUEENoLvBt_zWQFP6LyOj38-0b6aoe9M18WhYqm0PFz4XDn6Pl4/s1600/stadium.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 210px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWKYxyOv-85enY2lAM4eHmnmSZZtGtej6BNtWT77qEQbCvm1t_DWXnDnwTvT1EppyXKJjxXLeOPfw8GX9Lk689lqfAFUEENoLvBt_zWQFP6LyOj38-0b6aoe9M18WhYqm0PFz4XDn6Pl4/s320/stadium.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468787853840424066" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTD0zOOm7d40_mkJbPtNFoZDSLhhJPg0tz4Cv_FVWWHM7UUPG7VhJnpxjoGyfp-C3hS7BrNrdPDsdpN4KtkjIXwg8wh_G2zEXicsYfN8541F_6KzVlXMv3Tnxh9gQbJqos__OldAqEHY8/s1600/pattern2.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 234px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTD0zOOm7d40_mkJbPtNFoZDSLhhJPg0tz4Cv_FVWWHM7UUPG7VhJnpxjoGyfp-C3hS7BrNrdPDsdpN4KtkjIXwg8wh_G2zEXicsYfN8541F_6KzVlXMv3Tnxh9gQbJqos__OldAqEHY8/s320/pattern2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468787784008483202" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPo-SnPQKstGuz1lujQCRY0inhw604fsV4LWmVaQXNsJaTM7LS796Lewrmglbi1OHZwMNpOstoIVatjDmGsaRpUNx1HIubLGGRLbGj87t40Ofb8FVmYRsY1FtYePNpUiF32jkKgLK3SLY/s1600/GWesselVJ_A_Sp10.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 235px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPo-SnPQKstGuz1lujQCRY0inhw604fsV4LWmVaQXNsJaTM7LS796Lewrmglbi1OHZwMNpOstoIVatjDmGsaRpUNx1HIubLGGRLbGj87t40Ofb8FVmYRsY1FtYePNpUiF32jkKgLK3SLY/s320/GWesselVJ_A_Sp10.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468787713595320722" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguMbmUJjfQ1fCrmGE8tPF57NAs9i_pD1XQWcJGK3cu28w5WBpk-m4vCGLPQe-qJ_qevviqkFXU5Nbx2GtB7iX75TFp6YuQ6xqbfZP4vCPD3lAn2-Zo6L2fbjmmtRCIkAutKWJ2cz9zc30/s1600/city.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 210px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguMbmUJjfQ1fCrmGE8tPF57NAs9i_pD1XQWcJGK3cu28w5WBpk-m4vCGLPQe-qJ_qevviqkFXU5Nbx2GtB7iX75TFp6YuQ6xqbfZP4vCPD3lAn2-Zo6L2fbjmmtRCIkAutKWJ2cz9zc30/s320/city.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468787646982529026" /></a><br />Just Visual Journalism pages, some of which I edited to put into the book we had to make.Grosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15126717766959087303noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1550884246131617636.post-70634193889610886052010-05-07T23:07:00.000-07:002010-05-07T23:38:22.487-07:00Tarot<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNjUgLvNiDwftcUNiyZMKO7lHYK_bzlQSWjxOOqJQCp72K_T610nktx7bINBBza4WV0tKHMWtuHVcv18kLibuEseAkYEDpep6SqZQet_Bp0zUPsvQ-dVikt6T7xR-QWIUTKu2WVLYeyEg/s1600/GraceWessel_DryMedia_Sp10_D.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNjUgLvNiDwftcUNiyZMKO7lHYK_bzlQSWjxOOqJQCp72K_T610nktx7bINBBza4WV0tKHMWtuHVcv18kLibuEseAkYEDpep6SqZQet_Bp0zUPsvQ-dVikt6T7xR-QWIUTKu2WVLYeyEg/s320/GraceWessel_DryMedia_Sp10_D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468784839990623746" /></a><br />Create a tarot card of The Magician using American culture as a theme. It's inspired by 1910s newspapers and periodicals. The background is scanned newsprint but I'm thinking it would be better to cut out the middleman and just actually print it out on newsprint. The concept: Summer of 2010, zoo visitors (primarily children) vote for the "King of the Zoo" and the votes are tallied at the end. I guess the winner would get a crown or something.
